Performance. Cohesion. Recovery. Focus.

Yoga and breathing skills

Elite athletes and teams are under a high level of stress to perform in the high performance sports arena. They tend to have the tools to be physically able to perform in their field, however the stress can have other impacts on their performance. Stress management, practicing tools for focus, and properly practicing active recovery helps the athlete to be in peak performance for longer, and mitigates the risk of burn out.

Having a regular yoga practice as part of the athlete and team’s weekly regimen assists in injury prevention, as well as improved recovery from fatigue and strains, refined balance and muscular engagement & release, greater range of motion in a controlled, safe environment for the body, plus optimised immune and stress management. The breathing aspect of yoga as well as specific techniques and relaxation allows players to practice switching their focus on and off, using their energy more conservatively, and enables more instinct-response improvement for those moments that require quick thinking and decision-making.

Better communication for teams

Like anything, if you want your athletes to be able to communicate effectively and with emotional intelligence, you’ve got to train it. Regularly. As with most things, we don’t always start out knowing how, which is why training programs in these areas can help the team make big steps towards being a well-oiled, cohesive unit.

Learn skills and practices that will serve each athlete, coach, and support staff member both on and off the court, so that the whole, collective team can function a lot more effectively (and focus on what’s needed!)
